A.G.S. Taron has developed the following products:

These aluminum foam composites can be supplied in a variety of alloys, shapes, thicknesses and densities.

Aluminum foam precursor materials can be subsequently rolled to thinner gauges producing very thin aluminum foam products.

This technology allows for the production of aluminum sandwich foams which are cladded with other materials in the same process, such as, aluminum, steel, titanium or stainless steel. These foams can also be fibre-reinforced. The relative densities of A.G.S. Taron's foams range from 50 to 98% of the material volume.

Advantages

All A.G.S. Taron's composites undergo natural molecular bonding and maintain good adhesion rigidity.

Aluminum foams have very interesting properties, in that they preserve many of the general characteristics of their parent metal, while offering other advantages such as:

  • Ultra light weight results in important reduction in weight compared to steel of equal stiffness, thus justifying its use for energy savings in commercial transportation - trucks, trailers, railcars, containers, ships, aircraft interiors, etc.;
  • Excellent energy and vibration absorption creates significant potential in applications for commercial, industrial and military uses;
  • Improved thermal insulating characteristics reduce system costs when used as wall structures in thermally controlled containers or rooms.
