Company Information History A.G.S. Taron Technologies Inc. is a technology company located in Boucherville, Québec. Following its establishment, the company developed an innovative and unique technology for the manufacture of aluminum foam composites. This technology was enhanced, with the support and collaboration of well-known public and semi-public research institutions including the National Research Council of Canada's Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP), IMI (Industrial Materials Institute), le Laboratoire des technologies électrochimiques et des électrotechnologies d'Hydro Québec and the Centre Québécois de recherche et de développement de l'aluminium. A.G.S. Taron independently developed a new concept for the production of aluminum foam materials that resolved many of the deficiencies that were apparent in the then current technology. International patent protection was sought for these new concepts in early 2001. Recently the US has approved the Patent application and final steps in the patenting process are currently underway in Canada and the participating countries in Euro Patent. The company has identified these countries to be key markets. From 2000 - 2002, the company's new technology concepts were developed and validated on a pilot scale at a laboratory in Ottawa. It was later given technical approval the NRC TPC (Technology Partnership Canada) program, as well as, financial support from NRC's IRAP.
